Valenzuela officials hand over financial aid to students
Valenzuela City officials led by Mayor WES Gatchalian gathered today at the Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science (ValMaSci) for the ceremonial turnover of financial assistance to 200 deserving students.
The financial aid is in line with City Ordinance No. 317 Series of 2016 and City Ordinance No. 468 Series of 2018, which aim to provide educational support to underprivileged but deserving junior high school students of ValMaSci.
Councilor Cris Feliciano, Councilor Niña Lopez, Councilor Mickey Pineda, OIC of the Office of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rustica Lorenzo, and ValMaSci Principal Juliana Tamayo-Alvarez were also present during the event to show their support for the program.
The financial assistance will help the students with their educational needs, including school fees, textbooks, and other necessary supplies. The program is aimed at providing a better future for these young individuals and ensuring that they receive the education they deserve.
Mayor WES Gatchalian expressed his gratitude to the local officials and everyone involved in making this program a success. He emphasized the importance of education in the city and pledged to continue supporting the students of ValMaSci in their academic pursuits. The ceremony was a reminder of the city's commitment to education and the future of its youth.
