Taguig kicks off school year with clean campuses and strong community support
A seamless opening of classes marked the start of the school year in the City of Taguig today. Students were welcomed back with exceptionally clean schools and smiling teachers and staff, creating a positive atmosphere after a long break.
The peaceful and orderly commencement of the school year extended to schools in the 10 EMBO barangays, whose jurisdiction was recently transferred to Taguig. Help desks were strategically placed to assist students and parents on this important first day.
The City Government ensured the safety and well-being of all by deploying medics and rescue teams, ready to respond to any medical emergencies that might arise. Traffic management personnel were also present to assist motorists and commuters, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic around the schools.
This successful start to the school year is the result of thorough preparation by the schools themselves, as well as the local government led by Mayor Lani Cayetano, and various stakeholders. They actively participated in the weeklong Brigada Eskwela program before the academic year's commencement.
In a show of support for students, the City of Taguig provided basic school supplies. Daycare and kindergarten students received additional items like emergency contact cards and health kits.
Taguig City remains steadfast in its commitment to providing accessible and quality education. These efforts ensure that students have everything they need to thrive and that their learning environments are conducive to growth and success.
