Taguig Learners Certificate (TLC) scholars received their educational assistance during the Over the Counter Scholarship Allowance Releasing (OTC SAR) at Gracel Christian College Foundation and Monlimar Development Academy on Thursday, March 10.

With 53 partner private schools, the TLC scholarship program provides up to P18,000 tuition fee subsidy plus P10,000/year educational assistance to elementary school graduates who want to continue their education at a private school.

Over 74,000 students have benefitted from the Taguig Scholarship Program which includes the Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-Need (LANI) and TLC. The Taguig Scholarship Office also processes an additional annual average of 9,000 scholars from Taguig City University and two (2) Science High Schools.

To adapt to the new normal, the OTC-SAR ensures a safe distribution of scholarship subsidies by ensuring the implementation of minimum health and safety standards.

The City of Taguig believes that investing in its citizens' education will help secure their future and ensure they become productive citizens who can contribute to the city's continued progress.
