Taguig and KIDS International Dental Services Join Forces for Oral Health Awareness
Taguig City - In a collaborative effort to promote dental health among children, the City of Taguig partnered with KIDS International Dental Services (KIDS) to launch a 5-day dental outreach program, known as the KIDS Dental Mission, starting on Monday, November 6.
Led by pediatric dentist Dr. Ignatius Nate Gerodias, a dedicated multinational team, in cooperation with Taguig’s Medical Assistance Office (MAO) personnel, provided free dental services to children.
The comprehensive services included consultations, cleaning, fluoride varnishing, and tooth extractions, aiming to educate and equip children with the knowledge to prevent oral diseases.
The dental mission, held at the Dr. Artemio Natividad Elementary School (DANES) and Taguig Integrated School (TIS), saw over 400 children benefiting from the free dental services and treatments. Each child received complimentary toothbrushes, toys, and stickers, making the experience not only beneficial but also enjoyable.
Mayor Lani Cayetano personally visited the mission team, expressing warm greetings to both the volunteers and students. Taguig, known as a Transformative, Lively, and Caring city, is dedicated to the well-being of its residents, with a particular emphasis on ensuring good oral health and overall physical wellness. The KIDS Dental Mission stands as a testament to the city's commitment to proactive healthcare initiatives for its younger population.
