2,000 Taguig scholars receive allowance
A total of 2,000 Taguigueño scholars received their allowance under the Lifeline Allowance for Neighbors In-Need (L.A.N.I.) scholarship program today, November 22, at Taguig City University.
During the scholarship distribution for the Second Semester of the School Year 2021-2022, lectures on topics about Financial Literacy, Social Media Etiquette, and other information about the L.A.N.I Scholarship were also held.
Mayor Lani Cayetano graced the event and delivered an inspiring message to the scholars.
"More than 10 years ago, when I became Mayor of Taguig as advised by my husband, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, sinabi niya sa akin that the greatest investment that you could ever make for the City of Taguig is to invest in education kasi bibigyan kayo ng edukasyon ng karampatang kaalaman at kahandaan para 'yong mga trabaho, hindi na kayo lalayo," Mayor Lani said.
Taguig City Councilors, Hon. Atty. Joy Panga-Cruz, Hon. Marisse Balina-Eron, Hon. Alex Penolio, Hon. Jomil Serna, Hon. Eduardo Prado, and Hon. Nicky Supan also attended the event to give their support for the scholars and the program.
