Taguig to hold Pet Summit on March 30
In celebration of Rabies Awareness Month 2023 this March, a free pet service event will be held at the Taguig City University Auditorium on March 30. The event aims to promote responsible pet ownership and a rabies-free community with the theme "Rabies-free na Pusa’t Aso, Kaligtasan ng Pamilyang Pilipino."
The event will offer various services for pets such as deworming, anti-rabies vaccination, vitamin shots, consultation, spaying, and neutering. The schedule for the event in District 1 will be from 8 A.M. to 12 NOON, while District 2 will be from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.
To avail of the services, pet owners need to bring proof of Taguig residency and any ID with their Taguig address. For deworming service, pets must be healthy and at least two weeks old. For anti-rabies vaccination, pets must be healthy, at least three months old, and must not have a bite history for the last two weeks. Female pets must not be in heat, pregnant, or breastfeeding.
For spaying and neutering, pets must be healthy and at least six months old. Female pets must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or in heat, and they must not be taking any medicine. Pets must not have a bite history for the last two weeks and must not have been ill for the last two weeks. Registration for spaying and neutering begins on March 23 to March 28, 2023. After registration, pet owners must wait for a confirmation notice from the Office of the City Veterinarian on March 29, 2023.
