Taguig supports sari-sari store owners
In a collaborative effort with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the City of Taguig distributed vital financial assistance to sari-sari store owners hailing from Districts 1 and 2. The distribution took place on September 20 and 21 at the Mercado del Lago in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
The TaPat Sari-sari Store Program, a visionary initiative introduced during the tenure of Mayor Lani Cayetano and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as Taguig 2nd District Representative and Speaker of the House, is designed to address the unique needs of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
This exemplary program reached out to over 1,700 beneficiaries from District 1 and 1,551 from District 2, providing each of them with cash assistance amounting to P3,000. This financial support serves as a crucial lifeline, enabling recipients to provide for their families and address various business-related needs.
Mayor Lani also expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Senators Pia and Alan Peter Cayetano for their unwavering support of the city's progressive programs. Their valuable assistance has played a pivotal role in bringing initiatives like the TaPat Sari-sari Store Program to life.
