QC Hosts Free Speech and Language Screenings on Disability Day

On the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities, the QC Kabahagi Center for Children with Disabilities hosted an impactful event offering complimentary Speech and Language Pathology screenings to young participants on December 1, 2023.

This noble initiative was designed to cater to the needs of children with disabilities who were waiting for their opportunity to join Kabahagi's flexicoaching program, a specialized 10-session therapy parent coaching service.

The event turned out to be a resounding success, benefiting a significant number of eighty (80) children with disabilities, along with their families, who availed themselves of the screenings.

The initiative also saw the dedicated involvement of eight (8) passionate Speech and Language Pathology Volunteers, who generously volunteered their time and expertise to support the children at Kabahagi.

Aside from the screenings, participants received initial recommendations and printed home instruction programs to follow, providing them with a structured approach while anticipating their official entry into the flexicoaching program.

The free speech and language pathology screenings orchestrated by the QC Kabahagi Center for Children with Disabilities were tailor-made to meet the specific requirements of these children eagerly awaiting inclusion in the comprehensive flexicoaching program offered by the QC Kabahagi Center.
