QC Vet Department, Animal Kingdom Foundation hold pet education program
The Quezon City Veterinary Department and Animal Kingdom Foundation conducted a Pet Education Program at the Philippine Science High School, attended by 200 students.
The aim of the program was to teach Responsible Pet Ownership and how to keep pets safe from rabies. As part of the program, an anti-rabies drive and spay/neuter program for cats was also held at the school.
Rescued dogs from the Quezon City Animal Care and Adoption Center were also featured in the program. These dogs underwent training and now serve as Community Service Dogs, helping spread awareness about responsible pet ownership and the importance of vaccinations.
The program was lauded by the school administration and students alike, who appreciated the hands-on learning experience and the chance to interact with animals in a positive and educational manner.
The Quezon City Veterinary Department and Animal Kingdom Foundation expressed their commitment to continuing their advocacy of animal welfare and responsible pet ownership through similar programs in the future.
