Quezon City Recognizes PAISD for Information Dissemination
The Quezon City Council expressed its heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional efforts of the Quezon City Public Affairs and Information Services Department (PAISD) in ensuring that accurate and timely information reaches the city's residents. This recognition comes as part of the celebration of Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection Week.
Highlighting the remarkable impact of PAISD's work, council members specifically acknowledged the "Usapang QC" program, which has become a vital channel for disseminating information about various local government services and programs. The program was bestowed with the prestigious Asia Pacific Broadcasting Awards 2023 in June, underscoring its significant contribution to public engagement and awareness.
"Usapang QC" stands out as a unique and innovative bi-monthly talk show, streamed exclusively on the Quezon City Government's official Facebook page. This platform serves as a dynamic space for the local government to communicate directly with residents, addressing their queries, disseminating crucial information, and engaging them in discussions about the city's development and services.
In a heartwarming gesture, Mayor Joy Belmonte, Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, along with Councilor Joseph Juico and other esteemed council members, presented City Resolution SP-9329 S-2023 to PAISD Head Bert Apostol and the dedicated staff. This resolution serves as a formal acknowledgment of the department's unwavering commitment to keeping QCitizens informed and connected.
PAISD's dedication to transparency and the responsible sharing of information plays a pivotal role in fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry in Quezon City. Through platforms like "Usapang QC," the local government continues to bridge the gap between authorities and residents, ensuring that the community is well-informed about the array of services and programs available to them.
As Quezon City endeavors to provide efficient, accessible, and citizen-centric governance, the role of PAISD in conveying vital information remains crucial. By being at the forefront of innovative communication strategies, the department contributes significantly to the city's progress and empowers residents to actively participate in the growth and development of their beloved community.
The commendation from the Quezon City Council is a testament to the tireless dedication of PAISD in fulfilling its mission of ensuring that every QCitizen is well-informed and has access to the resources and services they need to lead fulfilling lives.
