QC barangay holds free medical, dental services
As part of the celebration of Barangay Balonbato's 45th founding anniversary, Councilor Vito Sotto Generoso's office organized a medical and dental mission for the residents of the barangay.
The mission offered free medical services, such as check-ups, medicines, vitamin C and multi-vitamins syrup and drops, blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, fasting blood sugar, COVID-19 vaccination, massage, and other services. Dental check-ups and extractions were also provided, as well as a feeding program.
The mission was held at the Balonbato Health Center on March 24, 2023, in partnership with the Barangay Council, led by Captain Irene Maglalang, and councilors Remy Gonzalez, Linda Orlin, Evelyn Baetiong, and SK Councilor Arnold Tamayo, along with the Purok leaders, Generika Tandang Sora Bayan, the Department of Health (Philippines), and the Quezon City Health Department.
Councilor Generoso expressed his gratitude to all those who supported and helped make the event a success. He noted that the medical and dental mission was an important opportunity to bring healthcare services closer to the community, particularly those who may have limited access to medical services due to various reasons.
During the event, residents expressed their appreciation for the councilor's efforts in providing them with much-needed healthcare services. Many residents were thankful for the free dental services, which would have otherwise been unaffordable for them.
The medical and dental mission was just one of the activities held in Barangay Balonbato's celebration of its 45th founding anniversary. The event aimed to bring the community together, strengthen bonds, and celebrate the barangay's achievements over the years.
As the event drew to a close, Councilor Generoso expressed his commitment to continue working for the welfare of the residents of Barangay Balonbato. He said that he would continue to find ways to provide them with better access to basic services, such as healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities.
The medical and dental mission was a success, and it was a testament to the spirit of community service that Councilor Generoso and the barangay officials embody. With their continued efforts, Barangay Balonbato will continue to thrive and improve the lives of its residents.
