PNP reports 15,554 recoveries as of April 14
Another 171 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), according to a report by Philippine News Agency.
Citing the latest data, PNP deputy chief for administration, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, said this brings the police force's recovery tally to 15,554 as of Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, another 162 police officers contracted Covid-19, 156 of whom are classified as new infections while six are reinfections.
This brings the police force's total number of active cases to 2,472.
The PNP has so far recorded a total of 18,703 Covid-19 cases, with 47 deaths.
Meanwhile, the number of police personnel vaccinated against Covid-19 has reached 8,397.
This can be broken down into 6,567 personnel who were inoculated with Sinovac vaccines and 1,830 with AstraZeneca jabs.
Of those who received Sinovac shots, 1,579 have already received their second dose.
