Pateros to hold vaccination drive for children
The local health office of the Pateros government has announced its plan to conduct a wide-scale vaccination drive against measles, rubella, and polio from May 2-31, 2023. Health workers will be going door-to-door to administer the vaccines to infants and young children within the specified age range.
The Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine will be given to children aged 9-59 months, or those who are not yet 5 years old. Meanwhile, the Bivalent Oral Poliovaccine (bOPV) will be administered to those aged 0-59 months, or before they reach 5 years old.
The campaign aims to ensure the health and safety of the community by preventing the spread of these highly contagious diseases. The local government is calling on its residents to support the vaccination drive and have their children vaccinated to keep them protected.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Pateros health office assures the public that the vaccination campaign will follow strict health protocols to ensure the safety of both the health workers and the residents.
