Pateros gets good financial housekeeping award from DILG
The Municipality of Pateros has once again proven its efficiency in handling public funds as it was recently awarded with the Good Financial Housekeeping Award by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Mayor Miguel Ponce III received the award during the flag-raising ceremony on March 27, 2023. The said recognition is given to local government units that adhere to the standard of transparency and accountability in financial management.
According to the DILG, the award is based on the assessment of the LGU's compliance to the Full Disclosure Policy, which requires local officials to make available to the public all transactions involving the budget and financial reports.
The Municipality of Pateros is grateful for the recognition and pledges to continue their efforts in promoting good governance and financial responsibility. Mayor Ponce expressed his gratitude to the DILG for the award and to the hardworking employees of the municipality who helped achieve this milestone.
