Pasig prepares for earthquake drill on June 8
Pasig City is joining forces with the National and Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, along with the Office of Civil Defense, to conduct the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 9:00 AM.
The NSED aims to enhance preparedness and response capabilities in the event of a strong earthquake. Participants will be instructed to "Duck, Cover, and Hold," simulating the appropriate actions during an earthquake. In addition, an evacuation drill will take place, requiring employees and visitors at the Pasig City Hall to proceed to designated evacuation areas, such as the City Hall quadrangle and Tanghalang Pasigueño.
