Pasig holds disaster management council meeting
The 2nd Quarter Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) meeting took place today, May 22, 2023, attended by members of the DRRMC from various departments/offices of the Pasig City Government, private sector partners, and representatives from civil society organizations.
The meeting focused on several key agenda items, including the presentation and approval of the 2023-2028 Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan. The plan underwent a series of workshops and writeshops starting in 2022 to ensure its comprehensive and effective implementation.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the upcoming 2nd quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill scheduled for June. The drill aims to enhance the city's preparedness and response capabilities in the event of an earthquake.
The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led and facilitated the DRRMC meeting, ensuring the coordination and collaboration among the participating stakeholders in Pasig City's disaster risk reduction and management efforts.
