Pasig announces finalists in World No Tobacco Day poster making contest

Pasig City, May 28, 2023 - The finalists for the World No Tobacco Day Poster Making Contest have been revealed! Congratulations to all the students who have advanced to the final round of the competition.

For the final judging, the participants are reminded to bring their artworks to the 7th Floor of Pasig City Hall tomorrow, Monday, May 29, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM. It is essential for the students to submit their artwork on this day as failure to do so will result in disqualification.

The selection of the winners will be based on the following criteria: Creativity (30%), Relevance to the Theme (30%), Visual Impact (25%), and Originality (15%). A panel of five judges from different government agencies, such as the Regional Offices of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Department of Health (DOH), as well as representatives from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Social Watch Philippines, and the City Government, will evaluate the entries.


The organizers would like to express their gratitude to all the participants who joined the contest. The effort and creativity shown by the students are commendable, and they have played an essential role in spreading awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use.

Certificates and consolation prizes will be awarded to the participants, and the details will be announced in the coming days. The City Government, along with its partner organizations, appreciates the dedication and enthusiasm of the students in advocating for a tobacco-free world.

The World No Tobacco Day Poster Making Contest aims to engage the youth in the fight against tobacco use and raise awareness about its negative health consequences. Through their artistic expressions, the students have contributed to the promotion of a healthier and tobacco-free Pasig City.
