Pasig City - In a vibrant ceremony held at the Rizal High School Gymnasium on February 2, 2024, Pasig City celebrated the academic achievements of 245 scholars who graduated with Latin honors during the Academic Year 2022-2023. The event marked the second batch of scholars receiving incentives for their outstanding performance.

Distinguished among the scholars were five summa cum laude graduates, each awarded PHP 30,000.00; 87 magna cum laude graduates, each receiving PHP 25,000.00; and 153 cum laude graduates, each granted PHP 20,000.00. Beyond the monetary rewards, each scholar received certificates in recognition of their remarkable academic accomplishments.

Following the awards for academic excellence, a financial boost was extended to 105 board/bar exam takers. Each aspirant received PHP 10,000.00, providing valuable support for their preparation and expenses associated with licensure examinations.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mayor Vico Sotto, accompanied by councilors, who shared words of encouragement and congratulations with the scholars and exam takers.

This initiative builds on a prior recognition event held on December 15, 2023, where 411 scholars (including 15 summa cum laude, 92 magna cum laude, and 304 cum laude graduates) from the first batch of the Academic Year 2022-2023 were honored for their achievements. Pasig City continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting the aspirations of its students.
