Fire hits Malibay neighborhood in Pasay
A fire that broke out in a residential unit at 157 P. Santos, Brgy. 172, Malibay, Pasay City was declared "fire out" on the afternoon of May 16, 2023, amid the community's festive celebration.
Authorities raised the alarm before 5 PM when the fire engulfed a two-story residential building, affecting more than 21 families. The estimated damage caused by the fire is approximately two hundred thousand pesos. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or serious injuries.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City wasted no time in providing assistance to the affected residents. She promptly delivered grocery packs, folding beds, hygiene kits, and sleeping materials to help alleviate their immediate needs.
