Paranaque mayor welcomes taekwondo athletes
Parañaque City - Mayor Eric L. Olivarez warmly received members of the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) at his office in Parañaque City Hall on Monday afternoon. During their visit, PTA Coach Joseph B. Gadiana introduced the athletes, who are students ranging from elementary to high school levels, and showcased their medals from various national competitions, including the MunTaParLas 2023.
Some of their athletes are also set to compete in the upcoming National Capital Region Palaro 2023. Mayor Eric extended his congratulations to the athletes and expressed his full support for their upcoming matches.
As an athlete himself in the field of tennis, sports is one of Mayor Eric's priorities, and he emphasizes the importance of sports in diverting the attention of young individuals away from vices such as drug use and alcohol consumption.
