Parañaque mobilizes Passport on Wheels
Parañaque City, May 29, 2023 - This morning, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez led the inauguration of Passport on Wheels at SM City BF Parañaque. The initiative is a joint project of Mayor Eric and District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez, aiming to bring passport services closer to the public, including new applications and renewals.
The Passport on Wheels program is a collaborative effort between the Parañaque City Cultural, Historical, and Tourism Promotions Division, under the leadership of City Tourism Office OIC Mr. Melquiades Alipo-on, and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). It seeks to provide convenient access to passport services, eliminating the need for residents to travel far for their passport-related transactions.
Mayor Eric L. Olivarez expressed his gratitude to Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez and the DFA for their support in making the Passport on Wheels project possible. He highlighted the significance of bringing essential government services directly to the people, making it more accessible and hassle-free.
With the launch of Passport on Wheels, Parañaque City residents can now conveniently apply for a new passport or renew their existing ones without having to travel to the main DFA offices. The program aims to cater to the increasing demand for passport services and streamline the application process.
The mobile passport facility, equipped with the necessary equipment and personnel from the DFA, will be stationed at SM City BF Parañaque for a specified period. Residents can take advantage of this opportunity to fulfill their passport-related needs conveniently and efficiently.
This initiative reflects the local government's commitment to providing efficient and accessible public services to its constituents. It is part of Mayor Eric L. Olivarez's vision to continuously improve the delivery of services and ensure the convenience and satisfaction of Parañaque City residents.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the Passport on Wheels program and make their passport applications or renewals in a timely manner. By bringing these services closer to the community, the local government aims to enhance the overall experience of residents and further strengthen the city's commitment to efficient governance.
