Parañaque City - In a significant milestone for the community, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez graced the inauguration ceremony of the Bayabas Child Development Center in Sampaloc Site II, Barangay BF Homes on Friday. The esteemed mayor led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the facility to the public.

Mayor Eric expressed his pride as he unveiled the two-story child development center, which will serve as a second home for 60 kindergarten students in the community. The Bayabas Child Development Center is one of the 16 day care centers in Barangay BF Homes and one of the 135 child development centers in Parañaque City, providing free and quality education to over 11,000 students.

As an advocate for education, Mayor Eric emphasized the importance of such projects in continuously improving the quality of education in the city. Alongside the construction of additional school buildings, the local government's educational initiatives include providing a monthly allowance to students in public schools from kindergarten to senior high school and distributing educational financial assistance to college students.

During the afternoon's inauguration, the child development center received a blessing ceremony attended by District 2 City Councilors Tin Esplana, Edwin "Bong" Benzon, and Beng Amurao, as well as District 1 City Councilor Toki Baes, and the officials of Barangay BF Homes. The event was also witnessed by the presidents of various associations in Sampaloc Site II and the heads of different departments in the local government of Parañaque.

The establishment of the Bayabas Child Development Center highlights the city's commitment to providing a nurturing and conducive learning environment for young learners. Through such initiatives, Parañaque City aims to empower its youth and foster a strong foundation for their future success.

As the center opens its doors, it promises to play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of children, nurturing their talents, and instilling the values necessary for their holistic development. The Bayabas Child Development Center stands as a testament to Parañaque City's dedication to ensuring accessible and quality education for all its residents.
