Step back in time and explore the rich history of Parañaque, a town that has witnessed remarkable transformations throughout the years. From its humble beginnings as a rural settlement to its current status as a thriving city, Parañaque has undergone significant changes that have shaped its landscape and identity.

The rolling hills of Parañaque, once a tranquil countryside, have evolved into what is now known as the city's second district. The area, once known for its vast agricultural lands and rice fields, has given way to residential, industrial, and commercial developments. Dr. Arcadio Santos Avenue, more commonly referred to as Daang Sukat, stands as a testament to this transformation. The road was renamed in honor of Dr. Arcadio Santos, a native of Parañaque who served as the governor of Rizal during the American colonial period.

Among the notable landmarks in Parañaque is the Lopez Village, established by Nicanor Lopez, a former councilor of the town. The village came into existence in the aftermath of the Second World War and has since become a thriving community. One of the streets within the village, Lopez Street, was named in honor of Nicanor Lopez himself.
