Paranaque inaugurates Fisherman’s Wharf

On Tuesday, August 16, the City Government of Parañaque held an official ribbon cutting ceremony and blessing of Fisherman’s Wharf also known as “Bulungan”, Parañaque River Promenade, and City Park.

The event was organized by Parañaque Tourism Division Head, Mel Alipo-on in collaboration with Public Information Office Head, Rina Gabriel.

City Mayor Eric L. Olivarez graced the ceremony together with his wife, Aileen Claire Olivarez, First District Representative, Cong. Edwin Olivarez, and former Mayor and current Barangay Captain, Dr. Pablo Olivarez, Vice Mayor Joan Villafuerte, and City Administrator, Atty. Voltaire Dela Cruz.

“This is a momentous occasion in the city of Parañaque because the opening of this new and environment-friendly infrastructure is the realisation of every Parañaquenos’ dream to have a new laudable tourist spot, and a sustainable place that could also offer them livelihoods.

Phase two and phase three of the city park are also ongoing”, according to Mayor Eric L. Olivarez.

Also present in the ceremony were the members of the City Council, City Council Secretary, Brgy. Captains and the City Department Heads, and DOST Representative.
