Parañaque City - The Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative was formally launched on Tuesday in Area 5, Fourth Estate Subdivision, Barangay San Antonio. The project was spearheaded by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., in collaboration with the local government of Parañaque, led by Mayor Eric L. Olivarez, and the Consumers Welfare Office under Ms. Millan Alcaraz.

According to Mayor Eric, the goal of the project is to address the rapid increase in prices of goods in the country and provide abundant livelihood opportunities for Filipino farmers by selling their produce. During today's launch of Kadiwa ng Pangulo, it is estimated that more than 100 residents from Area 5 patronized and purchased vegetables and fruits from Duran Farms and Cada Farms, which participated in the project.

The event was attended by staff members from the Presidential Communications Office - Bureau of Communication Services (PCO-CBS), who set up a free photo booth and interactive booth. They also distributed complimentary merchandise such as mugs, fans, stickers, and t-shirts to the shoppers.

National government agencies, including the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, National Food Authority, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of the Interior and Local Government, are also working in partnership with the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program.

Currently, there are 538 Kadiwa outlets located in various provinces across the country, benefiting a total of 1,162,067 families. Regular Kadiwa mobile stores in the country have earned Php 401 million for the sellers.

In addition to Area 5, the Kadiwa mobile store can be found in different parts of the city. On Mondays, it is located at Raya Gardens in Barangay Merville and Bricktown Subdivision in Barangay Moonwalk. On Tuesdays, it is in Area 5, Fourth Estate Subdivision in Barangay San Antonio, and Phimra Subdivision in Barangay Moonwalk.

Wednesdays see the Kadiwa mobile store at Levitown, Better Living Subdivision in Barangay Don Bosco, and Airport Village in Barangay Moonwalk. On Fridays, it sets up at ROMVI in Barangay Moonwalk.

Meanwhile, on Saturdays, the Kadiwa mobile store is situated at Aeropark Subdivision in Barangay Don Bosco and Fountain Breeze in Barangay San Isidro. On Sundays, it can be found at Petron in Doña Soledad, Barangay Don Bosco, and Camella Homes Classic in Barangay San Antonio.

The Kadiwa mobile store is also present at City Hall every Friday, as well as at the Petron Station in Barangay San Antonio from Monday to Sunday, ensuring accessibility and convenience for the residents.

The launch of Kadiwa in Parañaque is a significant step towards ensuring food security and promoting the welfare of both consumers and farmers. The collaborative efforts of President Bongbong Marcos, the local government, and national agencies are expected to provide a sustainable solution to rising food prices and support the livelihood of Filipino farmers.
