Paranaque mayor leads MOA signing to provide jobs to seniors and PWDs

Mayor Eric L. Olivarez, together with Mr. Michael B. Marcelo, the Operations Manager of WOW Brand Holdings Inc. - Peri-Peri, and Mr. Jorge Ma. Querubin Concepcion, the General Manager of Shakey's Pizza Asia Ventures Inc., led the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the local government of Parañaque and the two restaurant companies this afternoon.

The MOA signing aimed to create job opportunities for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the city of Parañaque. Mayor Eric, along with the representatives of the restaurant companies, acknowledged the importance of promoting inclusivity and providing meaningful employment to these sectors of the community.

Witnessing the signing were Mr. Henry R. Leonardo, the Head of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO); Ms. Amalia E. Martin, the Assistant Head of PESO; Mr. Mark Anthony Sixto, the Human Resource Manager of WOW Brand Holdings Inc. - Peri-Peri; Ms. Ma. Veronica P. Mercado, the Company Owned Business Operations Manager of Shakey's Pizza Asia Ventures Inc.; and Ms. Clarisse Anne V. Ramos, the HRBP Manager of Shakey's Pizza Asia Ventures Inc.

City Administrator Atty. Voltaire Dela Cruz, City Planning Office Head Engr. Bong Rivera, Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs OIC Ms. Leolinda V. Alcantara, and Persons with Disabilities Affair Office OIC Dr. Sabas C. De Guzman III were also present during the event, demonstrating their support and commitment to this significant initiative.

The partnership between the local government of Parañaque and the restaurant companies seeks to enhance the employability and livelihood opportunities for senior citizens and PWDs in the community.
