Mayor Eric L. Olivarez took charge for the third consecutive day as the local government continued its extensive gift certificate distribution. This crucial event aimed to benefit 2,031 PWDs in Barangay San Isidro and 632 PWDs in Barangay Marcelo Green, providing them with SODEXO vouchers worth Php2,000.

These vouchers are specifically tailored to assist in grocery purchases and dining at various food establishments, ensuring that the recipients can meet their essential needs.

The active participation of key figures in the local government further underlined the significance of this initiative. Alongside Mayor Olivarez, the presence of the First Lady, Aileen Claire Olivarez, Vice Mayor Joan Villafuerte, and District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez emphasized the collective commitment to supporting and uplifting the PWD community.


The engagement and support extended beyond the governmental hierarchy, with the active involvement of the Barangay Councils of San Isidro and Marcelo Green.

Led by their respective Barangay Captains, Noel Japlos and Ian Aguilar, these community leaders lent their hands to ensure the seamless and effective distribution of the much-needed vouchers.

This endeavor stands as a testament to the city's commitment to inclusivity and social welfare. Collaborative efforts between the local government and the Persons with Disability Affairs Office, led by Dr. Sabas C. De Guzman III, highlight a proactive approach in providing substantial aid to those in need within the community.
