Parañaque revives Bayanihan para sa Kalikasan
The vibrant spirit of Bayanihan para sa Kalikasan was reignited in the heart of United Parañaque Subdivision IV, located in Barangay Marcelo Green, Parañaque City. This community event marked the continuation of a joint clean-up project led by the local government of Parañaque, spearheaded by Mayor Eric L. Olivarez, in collaboration with the Cleanliness, Beautification, and Sanitation Office, headed by the First Lady and Chairperson Ate Aileen Claire Olivarez. The project also enjoyed the active participation of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office under the leadership of Mr. Mark Allen Besa.
The overarching goal of Bayanihan para sa Kalikasan is to cleanse the community's streets, canals, and waterways of litter and debris while also undertaking the essential task of tree trimming. This initiative emphasizes the significance of environmental stewardship and underscores the importance of preserving the local ecosystem.
Among those who actively engaged in this environmentally conscious endeavor was Ar. Maan Shayne Pausanos, Co-chairperson and officer-in-charge of CBS (Cleanliness, Beautification, and Sanitation) in the community. The collective effort of community members, local officials, and dedicated volunteers embodies the Bayanihan spirit—a time-honored Filipino tradition of coming together as a community to tackle shared challenges.
The revival of Bayanihan para sa Kalikasan serves as a testament to the commitment of Parañaque City to environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Through initiatives like this, the city continues to demonstrate its dedication to creating a greener and more vibrant future for its residents.
