Muntinlupa mayor launches Women's Month Celebration at City Hall
Mayor Ruffy Biazon of Muntinlupa City asked a thought-provoking question during the regular flag-raising ceremony on Monday, March 6. "Which would we want better—success or greatness?" he asked the crowd gathered at the city hall. According to the mayor, it is important to be consistent in one's beliefs, words, and actions to achieve either success or greatness.
The event also marked the launch of the Women's Month Celebration, which has the theme "WE for Gender Equality & Inclusive Society." Chairperson on Gender and Development (GAD) Councilor Engr. Arlene Hilapo led the celebration and emphasized that all women deserve respect, love, care, and happiness. The GAD Office Head Mr. Reggie Salonga also delivered a message of support for the celebration.
The GAD prepared several activities for the Women's Month celebration, including the Women's Day Out Caravan on March 8, 15, 22, 24, and 29, and the Women Pampering Women event on March 31.
Mayor Biazon was joined by Vice Mayor Temy Simundac and several councilors during the flag-raising ceremony. Also in attendance were City Administrator Engr. Allan Cachuela, various department heads, and employees of the city government. The program was organized by the Muntinlupa Gender And Development Office and started at 6:24 AM.
