The city-run Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) in Alabang, Muntinlupa said all minors who will be vaccinated at the facility need to present medical certificates, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

OsMun will start vaccinating minors 12 to 17 years old with comorbidities on Monday, Oct. 25. It was selected by the government as one of the hospitals for the second phase of the vaccination of minors, classified as Pediatric A3 group, which started on Oct. 22.

According to OsMun, minors need to secure medical certificate clearance from the hospital’s out-patient department pediatrician or their own medical certificate coming from their own doctor.

Minors need to register with the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) system so they will be added to the list.

MunCoVac will give the minors their schedule for vaccination. After receiving their schedule, the minors should proceed to the OsMun vaccination site and present their MunCoVac registration and medical certificate.

As of Oct. 21, MunCoVac received vaccination registration from 12,268 minors including 494 who are with comorbidities.

During the ceremonial vaccination at Cardinal Santos Medical Center on Oct. 22, Health Undersecretary Roger Tong-an said, “As with the vaccination process of the adults, the vaccination for children will be closely monitored to detect adverse events following immunization to ensure the safety of our young vaccine recipients.”

Under the second phase of vaccination of minors, OsMun was selected as a vaccination site together with Caloocan City Medical Center (North and South), Ospital ng Malabon, Navotas City Hospital, Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital, Marikina Sports Complex which is near Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, Quezon City General Hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center-Quezon City, Ospital ng Maynila, Ospital ng Makati, SM Megamall Mega Vaccination Site which is near Mandaluyong City Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Ospital ng Parañaque 1, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, and Pasay City General Hospital.
