Biazon leads discussion on making Muntinlupa a smart city
Mayor Ruffy Biazon initiated a fruitful discussion aimed at providing guidance and direction in shaping programs and activities for the upcoming years, with the ultimate goal of transforming Muntinlupa City into a Smart City.
The session began with Mayor Biazon sharing his vision and aspirations for the city's future. He emphasized the importance of embracing innovation, technology, and sustainability to propel Muntinlupa towards becoming a Smart City. This initiative aligns with the city's commitment to fostering progress and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
Following the mayor's opening remarks, the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) of Muntinlupa presented the finalized success indicators and excerpts from the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) long lists of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) for the period 2023-2029. This presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the city's strategic plans and initiatives to achieve its Smart City objectives.
The meeting also included presentations of inputs from external stakeholders and representatives from the barangays. Their valuable insights and perspectives enriched the discussion, ensuring that the city's plans and programs consider the diverse needs and aspirations of the community. The collaboration between the city government, stakeholders, and barangay representatives reflects a participatory and inclusive approach to decision-making.
To further refine and shape the PPAs for each sector, a workshop was conducted, allowing participants to actively contribute their ideas and suggestions. The workshop encouraged a collaborative environment where different sectors could work together to develop innovative and impactful programs and activities.
The meeting was attended by key officials of Muntinlupa City, including Vice Mayor Temy Simundac, Majority Floor Leader Coun. Raul R. Corro, Coun. Jedi Presnedi, Coun. Arlene Hilapo, Coun. Dado Moldez, Coun. Lester Baes, Coun. Marissa Rongavilla, and Coun. Ryan Bagatsing. Their presence demonstrated their commitment to actively participate in the city's planning and development processes.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon expressed his appreciation for the active engagement and valuable contributions from all participants.
