MRB Club engages Alabang community in reading session
In a vibrant display of literary enthusiasm, nearly 50 children actively participated in a reading session organized by the Muntinlupa Readers Book (MRB) Club on May 20. The event took place in Alabang, drawing the attention of young readers eager to embark on exciting literary adventures.
Heading the session as a volunteer storyteller was Barangay Alabang Captain Tintin Abas-Ding, whose captivating storytelling skills captivated the young audience. Joining her in this literary endeavor were members of the JCI Alabang, who contributed their time and efforts to make the event a memorable one.
Collaborating with the MRB Club were key departments of Muntinlupa City, including the Tourism, Culture, & the Arts Department (TCAD), Youth Affairs and Sports Development Office (YASDO), and Public Information Office (PIO). Their joint efforts ensured the success and impact of the reading session, underscoring the city's commitment to promoting literacy and fostering a love for books among its young residents.
The MRB Club has been actively reaching out to various communities within Muntinlupa, aiming to cultivate a culture of reading and nurture the passion for books among children.
