DOLE distributes rice packages in Muntinlupa

Muntinlupa City - In a heartwarming gesture of support, the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) recently distributed 1,341 sacks of rice to 85 beneficiaries. These beneficiaries consist of parents or guardians of malnourished children from the City Nutrition Council, Persons with Disability from the Persons With Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), and Rebooting Activities through Community Engagement (RACE) beneficiaries of DOLE.

The DILP Livelihood Awarding ceremony took place at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex on May 26. The rice packages, with a total value of %u20B11.6 million, were distributed under the leadership of Mayor Ruffy Biazon, DOLE NCR Muntaparlas FO Jun Castillon, and PESO Manager Ms. Glenda Aniñon.

During the distribution event, several lectures and orientations were conducted to provide valuable information to the beneficiaries. The topics discussed included the "1st 1000 Days ni Baby" program by the City Health Office, an overview of the city's programs for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), the "Tulong Negosyo na Walang Tubo" program by the Muntinlupa Entrepreneurship Financing Division (MEFD), and basic bookkeeping from the Muntinlupa City Technical Institute (MCTI).

Representatives from the City Health Office-Muntinlupa (CHO), Muntinlupa City Persons With Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), Muntinlupa City Technical Institute (MCTI), and Muntinlupa Entrepreneurship Financing Division (MEFD) also attended the program, showcasing the collaborative effort of various government offices in empowering and supporting the beneficiaries.

The distribution of rice packages through the DILP not only provides essential sustenance to the recipients but also serves as a means to uplift their livelihoods and improve their overall well-being. The City of Muntinlupa, in partnership with DOLE, remains committed to implementing programs that address the needs of its constituents and promote inclusive growth within the community.
