Muntinlupa Extends Immediate Aid to Fire Victims in Cupang

The swift response from the Muntinlupa City Government, led by Mayor Ruffy Biazon, brought much-needed relief to 19 families affected by a fire in Purok 1, Barangay Cupang.

The fire, which occurred around six o'clock in the morning last Saturday, December 2, left families in distress, prompting immediate action from local authorities.

Collaborating with the Social Services Department (SSD), the city distributed essential relief packages tailored to address the immediate needs of the affected families.

Each family received a sack of rice, 35 assorted canned goods, hygiene kits, and comprehensive family kits containing clothing for adults and children, bath towels, slippers, sleeping kits equipped with blankets, folding beds, mats, and mosquito nets. Moreover, kitchen kits were provided, including cooking pots, pans, stoves, spoons, plates, glasses, and cutlery.

As a temporary refuge, the affected families are currently sheltering at the JRF Multi-Purpose Mullet Covered Court, where they can find respite and necessary support while coping with the aftermath of the fire.

The immediate relief efforts demonstrate the city's commitment to promptly assisting and supporting its residents during times of crisis.
