MMC seeks integrated single ticketing system
The Metro Manila local government units, Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) are looking at adopting its proposed single ticketing system to provinces as well, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said in a report by GMA News.
Zamora, who was elected as new president of the Metro Manila Council (MMC) and co-chairperson of the Regional Development Council, said a technical working group has been formed to make up policies for such a proposal.
We will have to have an integrated system,” he added.
Under the single ticketing system, it will be easier for traffic violators in the National Capital Region to settle the penalties through Bayad Centers or through mobile apps.
Concerned agencies have also proposed an increase in the penalties that traffic violators have to pay.
