LINKS CON 2023 set on June 3 in Mandaluyong
LINKS, a non-profit organization committed to raise volunteers and build libraries for Filipino children, will hold its first-ever LINKS CON 2023 on June 3.
After completing Hooked on Books (HOB) Library and Reading Programs in 12 public schools across the country, LINKS Philippines President Ningning Doble said that it is time for the HOB implementers to get together, share their best practices, lessons learned and challenges with each other, and all the partners who have helped them with this program.
“This event is a first time for us. We also want our partners to hear the proof of concept straight from the horses’ mouths, to hear the stories of transformation straight from the implementers,” shared the development and humanitarian expert.
Doble revealed her greatest motivation for leading LINKS by adding “In other words, with our kids not doing so well right now in reading skills as compared to kids from other countries, we are hoping to draw inspiration from each other at this event so we may keep on going on.”
The event will be livestreamed from 1:30PM in their official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/linksbuildingbridges
With the theme “Building Bridges For Children…Together”, LINKS CON 2023 will also be an avenue to support their projects. Individuals and organizations will have the opportunity to help children read better by donating cash, by giving brand new or gently-used children’s storybooks, school supplies, or by offering volunteer services.
