Filipinos choose fried chicken as top food delivery
Filipinos choose friend chicken as the most-ordered food this year, topping burgers which was the top choice in 2021.
Grab's "PH Food & Grocery Trends 2022" show that almost 55,000 orders of fried chicken were made every day in the Philippines in the first nine months.
Grab also reported a growth in demand for coffee, which ranked fifth, burger steak at sixth spot, nuggets at ninth, and halo-halo the 10th.
Burgers are the second most-ordered food in 2022, followed by pasta (third), ice cream (fourth), fries (seventh), and pie (eighth).
The most-searched cuisines on Grab in the Philippines are Korean, followed by Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Indian.
Jollibee's "Chickenjoy" has become one of the most celebrated comfort foods in the country. In August, Jollibee's "Chickenjoy" was hailed as the "Best Fried Chicken in America" by global food website Eater.com.
