The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) issued a commemorative stamp called “SANDAAN - Celebrating 100 Years of Philippine Cinema.”

According to PHLPost, the commemorative stamp depicts the logo of SANDAAN appearing on a stylized movie ticket, highlighting the dates 1919-2019.

The limited copies of the souvenir stamp sheet features acclaimed director and producer Jose Nepomuceno, considered by many as the “Father of Philippine Movies.” His film “Dalagang Bukid” was the first Filipino-produced silent film, starring Atang de la Rama and Marcellano Ilagan. “Dalagang Bukid” was released on 12 September 1919.
