To continuously promote health and wellness for Filipinos, from Filipinos—these are the words shared by Santé Philippines as they continue to bring the highest quality organic barley grass in the Philippines. From New Zealand farms to Filipinos’ health and wellness, Santé continues to change lives and make them do more and live more.

The journey of Santé as a direct selling company opened business opportunities and started conversations on the importance of prioritizing health for Filipinos. One cannot argue about their impact and how they changed people’s lives. But what goes on behind the scenes?

Here’s a closer look at how Santé, a provider of premier natural health and wellness products and services, ensures that it can achieve its mission of promoting a healthier Philippines.

Bringing the best barley fresh from New Zealand farms. There’s so much more about organic barley from New Zealand farms than what meets the eye. Peter Hope, managing director of Santé New Zealand, emphasized that while barley is growing in other countries, New Zealand still provides the better, if not, the best quality.

“Some may ask, ‘Why choose New Zealand?’ Well, our farms are located in the Canterbury Region, and it has the best arable soils in New Zealand. The soils of Canterbury are formed on an alluvial plain and are particularly well suited to growing cereal crops, such as wheat, oats, and barley. This ensures that what we produce remains certified organic, the best in the market, and will always maintain a high level of competitiveness. You cannot compare these qualities with other brands in the market,” said Hope.

He added that there is a tedious process of growing organic barley in New Zealand, especially as it requires good soil quality. “The soil must have the perfect amount of water--either via rainfall or irrigation, sufficient macronutrients, and enough magnesium, sulfur, and calcium from the soil. The more nutritious the soil is, the more organic it is,” he added.

On the other hand, Canterbury’s climate also plays a massive role in growing high-quality barley grass. “In Canterbury, the climate gets cold in the winter and warm in the summer. With this climate, the land tends to have free-draining soils well suited to growing superior barley grass crops,” Hope shared.

Promoting organic barley for Filipinos. Besides its vision to create opportunities and be a provider of premier wellness products and services, Santé’s top priority is to help people live better lives. And their number one way to achieve this is to grow their barley using organic farming practices.

Hope explained how their farmers spend a great deal of time learning and understanding the techniques for growing barley. “Our farmers are also trained to keep our barley grass in their best shape from harvesting to drying. When we harvest them, the leaf is cut and delivered to the dryer as quickly as possible. The drying process reduces moisture content and stabilizes the barley leaf as a safe and nutritious food product. You can only label a product as certified organic by BioGro if it passes these qualifications,” said Hope.

Since Santé wants to offer only the best products, this strict process of growing their barley grass ensures that they live up to the expectations of their consumers.

Health and wellness for all. As Santé continues to grow, they wish nothing but to make more Filipinos experience what it truly means to use an honest, organic product that cares. “In Santé, we are all for transparency. We ensure that our consumers know every process, from growing barley to bringing it to the market. And we know that the new generation of consumers is all for transparency as well,” said Hope.

Santé will continue bringing high-quality health and wellness products and services to all. It is their mission that they will continue to uphold as they expand their reach not just in the Philippines but also globally.

“Santé Philippines will continue to reach greater heights, and honestly, we cannot wait to share what good of a product Santé is because we believe that everyone in the world deserves to experience the health benefits our products can provide,” said Joey Marcelo, chief executive officer of Santé.

Santé is one of the leading global manufacturers of products with organic barley grass (certified organic by BioGro) grown and harvested from New Zealand. With its mission to help people live better lives, the company promotes, produces, and distributes premier natural health and wellness products and services. Santé reminds everyone to only buy Santé products from legitimate business owners and resellers and report counterfeits.
