Dedication, heroism, and love for the nation - these are the qualities that were celebrated and recognized on the 36th Police Memorial Day in Marikina City. The city paid tribute to its fallen police officers in a heartfelt ceremony held at Loyola Memorial Park.

In his message, Mayor Marcy Teodoro praised and thanked the deceased members of the city's police force, as well as their families who attended the occasion. He acknowledged the role they played not only as police officers but also as children, parents, siblings, and spouses. He emphasized that they are remembered today as part of the city's extended family.

"We celebrate and commemorate their heroism and the celebration of their lives - those who were once sons, fathers, mothers, siblings. We celebrate them today as our own family. We thank the families who are here today because they gave their parents, siblings, children to serve others to ensure that our community remains peaceful and harmonious," Mayor Marcy expressed.
