Manila opens another testing center
Manila has opened its fifth walk-in testing center for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) at the Ospital ng Tondo, according to a report by Manila Times.
Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the facility could test 100 persons a day. Testing is free for locals and non residents alike.
“Naaawa naman ako sa tao. May mga gusto na pumasok sa trabaho, gagastos pa sila [sa test] (I feel bad for the people who want to work, but they have to spend money for testing). That is why we’ve always wanted to offer this service,” Domagoso said.
“The Covid-19 pandemic is a universal problem. We have to approach it inclusively. That is why this is open for all and for free,” he added.
