Flavors of NCR showcases unique cuisine

If you're a foodie, then you definitely shouldn't miss the Flavors of NCR event, which showcases the diverse and unique culinary traditions of the National Capital Region (NCR) in the Philippines. This two-day event, held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan in the City of Manila, was organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in partnership with the Metro Manila Tourism Office and the Association of Tourism Officers in the NCR.

The Flavors of NCR event features over 50 food establishments from the NCR's 16 cities and one municipality, including Manila, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, Valenzuela, and Pateros. These establishments offer a wide range of dishes, from classic Filipino street food to international cuisine with a local twist.

Secretary Kgg. Christina Garcia Frasco of the DOT, together with Kgg. Sharlene Zabala-Batin of the Metro Manila Tourism Office and Mr. Charlie Duñgo, the head of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila, led the opening ceremony of the Flavors of NCR event. The event aims to promote the NCR's unique cuisine and to encourage tourists to explore the region's different cities and municipalities.

Aside from the food, there are also various activities and entertainment for the visitors to enjoy. These include live music performances, cooking demonstrations, and food competitions. Food enthusiasts can also attend seminars and workshops on food preparation, food photography, and food styling.

The Flavors of NCR event is not just a celebration of food but also a celebration of the NCR's rich culture and heritage. It's an opportunity to taste the different flavors of the region, meet new people, and discover new places.
