Maynilad announces water interruption in Manila's 200 barangays

Over 200 barangays in Manila will experience a 10-hour water service interruption on Tuesday, Aug. 24, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

In an advisory, Maynilad said it will conduct a “repair of a leak on 50-mm-diameter pipeline connected to the 2,6000-mm diameter primary line along 6th Avenue (between 8th and 9th streets) in Caloocan City.”

The following barangays in Manila are expected to have low water pressure to no water supply from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 24:

Meanwhile, Maynilad also told its customers that there might be a delay in the resumption of water service in some of the areas affected by the interruption.

“This is due to several factors such as your area elevation, its distance from our pumping stations, and the volume of withdrawal from our mainlines,” it said.
