Manila receives 3,000 Sputnik V vaccines

Sinalubong nina Manila City Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso, Vice Mayor Maria Sheilah 'Honey' Lacuna-Pangan, DOH-NCR Director Paz Corrales, at iba pang opisyal ng LGU Manila ang pagdating ng 3,000 doses ng Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine sa Maynila na inilaan ng Department of Health para sa lungsod.

Agad na inilagay sa COVID-19 Storage Facility ng lokal na pamahalaan sa Sta. Ana Hospital ang nasabing bakunang gawa ng Gamaleya Research Institute ng Russia.

Ang 3,000 doses na natanggap ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Maynila ay mula sa paunang 15,000 doses ng Sputnik V na natanggap ng national government mula sa Russia.


Batay sa mga pag-aaral, nagtala ng 91.6% efficacy rate ang Sputnik V at nabigyan ito ng Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) noong March 19, 2021.

Kaugany nito, muling hinikayat ni Mayor Isko ang publiko na magpabakuna habang patuloy ang COVID-19 mass vaccination program ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
