Manila opens 24-hour drive-thru booster vaccination site
The City of Manila will begin its 24-hour drive-thru booster vaccination program starting 12 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14,according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso made the announcement on Thursday, Jan. 13 during a city update livestream on his Facebook account.
“We decided, tomorrow 12 a.m., mamaya po yon madaling araw, simula 12 a.m. mamayang madaling araw ang booster vaccination drive-thru caravan ng City of Manila (later in the early morning at 12 a.m. Manila’s booster vaccination drive-thru) will be made available for 24 hours,” said Domagoso.
This 24-hour drive-thru booster vaccination program will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila.
However, only four-wheel vehicles are allowed to avail of the program.
Non-residents of Manila are also eligible to avail of the free booster shot but they must bring their vaccination card.
Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, and SinoVac brand vaccines will be available.
Manila began the Quirino Grandstand four-wheel vehicle drive-thru booster vaccination program on Thursday, Jan. 13.
Meanwhile, Manila’s drive-thru booster vaccination for two-wheel vehicles, which originally began on Saturday, Jan. 8, was further extended until Thursday, Jan. 13.
