The city government of Manila has extended its vaccination hours, Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said in a report by CNN Philippines.

In an interview with CNN Philippines, Domagoso said vaccination in the city will start at 6 a.m. and end at 8 p.m.

“We have extended already our vaccination time. Two hours earlier in the morning, three hours in the evening,” he said.

Manila has 19 vaccination sites in total.

Domagoso also said that the city government will allow walk-ins in its vaccination centers.

Asked why he allowed walk-ins, Domagoso said there was a time when less than 300 out of the 1,000 registrants who were scheduled for vaccination showed up in the site.

“Can you imagine, you registered but you did not come, so 700 doses are waiting in the vaccinations sites and we cannot wait for others to decide. We need to accept people who decided already and want to get vaccinated,” he said.
