During the transport strike on November 22, 2023, the City Government of Manila continued its commitment to public service through the implementation of "LIBRENG SAKAY." This ongoing initiative aims to extend assistance to affected commuters by providing free transportation across various routes within the city. The dedicated efforts of city personnel and vehicles circulating through the specified routes have been instrumental in alleviating the inconvenience faced by passengers amidst the strike.

The 'OPLAN LIBRENG SAKAY' covers strategic routes such as Lardizabal to Tayuman, Paco to Rotonda, San Andres to P. Faura, San Andres to Onyx, Agosto Francisco to P. Faura, SM San Lazaro, Vito Cruz, Old Sta. Mesa to San Juan, Plaza Avelino to Cubao, and Pureza Altura to Divisoria. These routes cater to a wide range of destinations, ensuring that affected commuters have access to essential areas despite the transportation disruption.

In collaboration with several departments, including the Manila DRRMO, Manila Police District (MPD), Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the City Government demonstrates its concerted effort to mitigate the challenges faced by commuters during such instances.

This joint initiative underscores the city's steadfast commitment to providing accessible and reliable transportation services, especially during unforeseen disruptions in public transport.

The 'LIBRENG SAKAY' program stands as a testament to the City Government's proactive approach to civic welfare, ensuring that residents have crucial support during times of transport disturbances.

This ongoing endeavor not only addresses the immediate needs of affected commuters but also reflects the city's ongoing commitment to prioritize public service and address the challenges faced by its constituents.
