DOT to host Manila Summer Pride on April 15

The Department of Tourism, Culture, & Arts of Manila (DTCAM) is set to host the Manila Summer Pride this coming April 15, 2023. This event aims to promote equality and inclusivity, as well as to acknowledge and celebrate the LGBTQIA community.

The Manila Summer Pride will be a fun-filled day featuring the LGBTQIA Symposium, the Pride Parade, and a Concert. The Symposium will be a platform for discussion and discourse on issues relevant to the LGBTQIA community. The Parade, on the other hand, will be a colorful spectacle that will fill the streets of Manila with rainbow colors, as the community and its allies come together to show their support for love and acceptance. Finally, the Concert will be a celebration of diversity and inclusivity, as well as an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy music and entertainment.

In a statement released by DTCAM, they emphasized their commitment to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and equality in Manila. "We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. We are committed to creating a city that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all," the statement reads.

The Manila Summer Pride is not just an event for the LGBTQIA community but also for their families and friends. DTCAM encourages everyone to come and join the festivities, to wear their most vibrant and colorful outfits, and to show their support for love and acceptance.
