Mandaluyong Vice Mayor Abalos Celebrates Youth Achievements

In the latest Monday Morning Program, Mandaluyong City Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos highlighted the accomplishments of students who emerged victorious in the recently concluded Eco-Fashionista and Advocacy Video Making Contest organized by the Mandaluyong Council for the Protection of Children. Additionally, recognition was given to child representatives from various barangays who participated in the Child Talk Program by the Ateneo Human Rights Center-Ateneo De Manila University. Child Rights Desk Director Claire Laison provided a comprehensive report on the program's proceedings.

The event also witnessed the presence of Police Lieutenant Colonel Belson Pimentel, who joined the celebration as a guest of honor. Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos extended her congratulations to the children representatives at the LCPC, emphasizing their commitment to fulfilling their duties under the leadership of Mayor Ben Abalos. She commended their role as the voice of the youth within their communities.

Furthermore, accolades were extended to the City Health Department, under the leadership of Dr. Arnold Abalos, for their commendable achievement as the recipient of the Playbook Champion Award for Sexual and Reproductive Health. Additionally, Mandaluyong's 11th Council received recognition as the 1st Runner-up in the Local Legislative Award category by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).


Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos conveyed her heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees and recognized entities, expressing her pride in their outstanding contributions. She emphasized the vital role played by the Mandaluyong Council for the Protection of Children and lauded the youth of Mandaluyong for their remarkable achievements.
