Malabon City government will hold a simulation activity for the upcoming COVID-19 vaccine rollout to be participated in by 100 residents, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

Mayor Antolin Oreta said the participants will be coming from the different sectors based on the result of its latest survey that focused on those who are willing to be vaccinated.

Oreta said the dry run, which will be held at the Malabon National High School, is in preparation for the city’s vaccination program against COVID-19 in the coming weeks.

The city has yet to announce the schedule for the simulation activity.

The local government recently formed a task group together with the City Health Department and other teams to focus on explaining and convincing the residents to be inoculated.

It has also allotted P200 million for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines, which can inoculate 30 percent of the city’s population.

“Malaking tulong na mailarga na ang bakuna kontra COVID dahil unti-unti na namang tumataas ang kaso ng mga positibo rito, at kailangan protektado tayo para makabalik sa dati ang ating ekonomiya, (The COVID-19 vaccine rollout will be a big help because COVID-19 cases are increasing. We need to be protected to bring our economy back on track),” Oreta said.
